Bradley Scott Sayer, the 18-year-old who opened fire in a California library on Monday, was part of 764 network-adjacent Com groups that spam child abuse material online. He was also connected to mass shooter copycat groups online, and even had a Roblox account with an avatar in a KMFDM shirt (a nod to Columbine). The overlap between "TCC" (online mass shooter fanclubs) and Com/764 has been growing rapidly over the past year, morphing into a brand new threat. It shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that I'd encountered Sayer's online group in the past. And, as always, we reported them to X and to authorities, which still didn't prevent the inevitable mass shooting.

Fish was flagged by EASI for being in a Discord server dedicated to modding your Roblox client to give your character huge boobs and thighs, described as "UNBANNABLE". He was also in groups dedicated to race play, condos, and NSFW avatar items. This is the anti-EASI crowd.

“Scoped User Identifiers” isn't the first time Roblox seemingly went after EASI. This mindless update to let groups hide their members helped condo groups so much. They were a great source to scrape disgusting users from. I'm aware of a group with 4,000 members uploading disgusting clothes that Roblox fails to take down. Thanks to this stupid nonsense, I can't see any members. I can't report them. EASI can't source the bad ones from it. These stupid privacy updates are barely helping innocent people, if they are in any capacity. They're helping Roblox's worst, most disgusting, most dangerous users. It makes no sense.

Genuinely one of the most mind numbingly stupid updates Roblox has ever conceived. This makes safety WORSE!!! It will become harder for developers to ban users across their games and for communities to share ban lists to prevent gross+dangerous users from entering their games.

@dukeman913 This is only for when you already have their global ID. With this update you won't be able to find the global ID to check if they're in EASI's database.

I spent the past two years building a team dedicated to identifying predators and groomers on the platform. We've found over half a million and counting. This change prevents developers from banning them from their games. This update will break cross-game data stores, including ban lists. Safety systems like EASI identify accounts through user IDs. If that ID isn't consistent across games, our system can't identify them. Everyone needs to speak out against this.
