1st grade AIMers learned how ancient Egyptians told stories with hieroglyphics. We wrote our own on papyrus & clay tablets! We topped off the day with our favorite storyteller @LisaBoysen who shared more about mummies and the riddle of the Sphinx @ClarkCreekSTEM

Tried a new thinking strategy with my fourth grade AIMers. “Build a Brick”encourages Ss to build something representative of what they learned in a reading passage then share their summary & connections with others. Creativity + Critical Thinking = Big 🧠 @ClarkCreekSTEM!

After completing a “See, Think, Wonder” critical thinking routine on 35,000 year old paintings in the Chauvet caves in France, 1st grade AIMers created their own cave art stories @ClarkCreekSTEM 🎨

@CCSDHarrison I had forgotten about the Sit-N-Spin! My principal’s favorite is the Big Wheel, too! We shared war stories about that one. 😝

My first graders were so excited to see teachers’ favorite toys, hear the accompanying stories & add them to their living timeline. If anyone has a favorite toy from their childhood to share w/us, post it here & I’ll print & share! My Littles would be thrilled! #lovetothinkhere

After reading about a hotel fire in our novel study, 5th grade AIMers reimagined a fire safe hotel room. They used isometric drawings to show 3D volume of the space. Future architects of the world @ClarkCreekSTEM 🔨
