Restore Catholic education: -primary goal is the formation of saints -prioritize virtue & the supernatural life of grace -traditional prayers/devotions throughout the day -generous access to sacramental life, esp. confession -form students in a culture of reverence & piety

When asked how he could be so notoriously unpleasant as a Catholic, Evelyn Waugh replied: 'You have no idea how much nastier I would be if I was not a Catholic. Without supernatural aid I would hardly be a human being.' He converted in 1930, not from feeling but from logic He attended a Latin Mass every week of his adult life He died on 10th of April 1966, sixty years ago today, minutes after returning home from Mass

"Le Crociate furono la risposta a 4 secoli di invasioni, occupazioni, angherie e carneficine compiute dagli islamici. Se oggi abbiamo la libertà, lo dobbiamo anche e soprattutto a quei Crociati, che si fecero massacrare per proteggere un'Europa cristiana e libera. Le crociate furono una controffensiva per bloccare l’espansionismo islamico in Europa". Oriana Fallaci 🇮🇹

Mosques get £18000 pounds each from the government for security. Churches get £199 each. Never forget how much our political elites hate you.

Offer an Ave for the repose of soul of Mario Leon, a Milwaukee Marine & Catholic killed in action in Vietnam in '68. He was only 18. His parents lived well into the 2000s & are buried next to him. The family headstone shows an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. RIP. @44MagnumBlue1

The egalitarian push, a cultural impulse since at least the French Revolution, explains this. Forced leveling, "differences are unfair...the result of systemic whatever..." Remarkable how much sociologically, culturally, politically can be traced back to the disasters of 1789.

I'd argue a lot of ill-conceived trends and outright falsehoods stem, fundamentally, from a denial of natural intelligence It's not that some children are brighter than others. Being a respectable C+ or B+ student isn't good enough. It must be that they have a special need

We now have seven different accounts of what happened between the Pentagon and the Vatican during the January 22 meeting, first reported by The Free Press. All four media organizations differ somewhat in the details, but call the discussions confrontational. All three official accounts call the discussions cordial.

If I had been shamed like this for misrepresenting by the ACTUAL VATICAN, I would retire from public life...but, no, this grifter continues to try to give life to this nonsense...some people have no pride.

Reverence in the Novus Ordo is a good thing. The point is that the benchmarks for what make liturgy more "reverent" always points to what *already exists* in a more cohesive, integrated & theologically coherent way in the TLM, without the confusing modern novelties.

I was pleased to speak today with His Eminence, Cardinal Christophe Pierre.  As expected, he confirmed that recent media characterizations of his meeting with Undersecretary Colby are “fabrications” that were “just invented.” Given the intelligence and seriousness of Mr. Colby, I was likewise not suprised when His Eminence acknowledged there were no threats of any kind in the meeting.  “It was a frank and cordial meeting that took place two months ago.”  Threat of Avignon? “None.”

Under Secretary of War for Policy Elbridge Colby @USWPColby had a substantive, respectful, and professional meeting with Cardinal Pierre, the then-Papal Nuncio, and his team on January 22, 2026. During the cordial meeting, they discussed a range of topics, including issues of morality in foreign policy, the logic of the U.S. National Security Strategy, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and other topics. Cardinal Pierre expressed his appreciation for the outreach and both sides looked forward to continued open and respectful dialogue. In light of grossly false and distorted recent reporting, the Department of War repeats its statement: Recent reporting of the meeting is highly exaggerated and distorted. The meeting between Pentagon and Vatican officials was a respectful and reasonable discussion. We have nothing but the highest regard and welcome continued dialogue with the Holy See.

@johnamonaco It'd be a fascinating study to see how Evangelicals' endorsement of, almost need for, the state of Israel serves as a religious substitute for Catholicism as a visible institution that fulfills theological needs.

@johnamonaco Evangelicals view Israel as a sort of pseudo-ecclesial structure, even as a "church". People naturally tend to visible hierarchical institutions. Yet, Protestants reject this when it comes to Catholicism. Still, the need for a visible institution remains. Israel fulfills this.

I’m not a geopolitical expert by any means. I’m just a regular American citizen with questions: 1. What do we gain out of our alliance with Israel? 2. Why are we at war with Iran? 3. Why are we sending American troops to fight in Iran for Israel’s benefit, when Israel never sent troops to either Iraq or Afghanistan for ours? 4. How is Israel NOT held accountable for bombing civilian targets? Why are they beyond criticism?

All too often, parents, upset over policies they consider to be too rigid or unfair (dress code, etc.), believe that by making enough noise, they can change the school's policies to meet their own unique grievance. And sadly, this works a lot. It's demoralizing for teachers.

Schools are expected to teach, which traditionally requires an environment of order, respect, discipline, standards &, on the part of students, docility. Yet today, when these expectations are enforced, more parents are likely to object to them as harsh, rigid & oppressive.

New union survey just dropped What's the number 1 reason that teachers consider leaving? Big surprise. Student behavior!
