🧵 We could be one step closer to a UK screening programme for prostate cancer. Organised screening could cut deaths by 20%, but until recently the drawbacks outweighed the benefits. Our research has led to new scans and safer biopsies, meaning 67% fewer men experience harm.

@CEOProstateUK Just been told I have prostrate cancer had to push my Gp for further tests as my blood test did not show anything, so had MRI scan and in December a biopsy,should of had my 1st phone consultation, but doctors did not call. I live in West Yorkshire
