@EnergyOmbudsman The Energy Ombudsman decision is supposed to be legally binding on the supplier. Instead the process feels one-sided: silent extensions, hidden Partner Support escalations, and weak enforcement.

@EnergyOmbudsman This has forced me onto a high-interest specialist mortgage (£100 extra per month overpayments) and severely worsened my mental and physical health. Op Courage previously tried to help with EDF years ago and found them just as obstructive.

@EnergyOmbudsman Despite the Ombudsman instructing EDF to fix the bill properly (25 March), they’re still sending aggressive debt threats for £5,069.61 and threatening further credit damage. The Partner Support Team has been used repeatedly as a delay tactic.

@EnergyOmbudsman EDF then sent non-compliant bills (£8,875 and later £5,069) still using estimates, charging me for months after I moved out in Sep 2025, and ignoring the 12-month rule. They declared the complaint “closed” themselves.

EDF appealed weakly — rejected. They then quietly contacted the Partner Support Team for an “additional review” (upheld). Deadline changed 3 times with zero notification to me (9 Mar → 16 Mar → 23 Mar). I only spotted the changes myself on the portal.

EDF were ordered to do a proper rebill using my actual readings, apply the 12-month back-billing rule, write off the old debt, remove credit marks, pay £250 goodwill + apology.

@TheBTCTherapist I jumped in at .22 held for roughly 18 months got out at 2.94 and bought a house put the rest in my stock & share portfolio. 🤷
