My 9th completed game of 2026 being RESIDENT EVIL (9) REQUIEM

RESIDENT EVIL X (10) is going to be one of those Video Game experiences that changes you for the rest of your life. THEM AS THE LEAD? JUST TAKE ME MONEY NOW.

There we have it. That’s a wrap on RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM. A celebration. A love letter. A nostalgia trip. It does all of this. It blends two wildly distinct styles of gameplay and characters into a story of righting wrongs and survival. And It’s a 10/10 experience. It may not be a perfect Video Game. But it’s a perfect experience. That’s what i walk away with. It’s my first RE release as a new fan of the franchise and i can’t begin to describe how satisfying it felt. The game is paced to utter perfection. The mix of styles of storytelling and gameplay is unreal. As Grace that horror & dread builds up inside you, until you reach your breaking point, and then Leon acts as a release for it all, with maybe the most beautiful and pristine combat you could ever ask for. The dual story is an aspect i was cautious about going in, something that could’ve turned out horribly wrong might’ve ended up being the single greatest strength of the entire journey. It leaves things on the table. I would’ve liked to spend more time in Racoon City. I would’ve liked to explore more avenues. But ultimately it doesn’t affect my love for RE9. And the place it leaves itself, establishing a clear line for Resident Evil 10. I have never needed something so badly in my life, i’ll be thinking about it for years to come. Satisfied. Overly joyful. In awe of the batshit crazy final act. Already excited for many replays. The DLC that’s on the way. The future of this franchise. What a ride.
