Place 4 refs on the court! Yes 4! 1 and 2 under the hoops and they do not run the court. They are responsible for the lane and baseline. This way they are always in place to make a call coming at them, in the paint and in the baseline. Refs 3 and 4 run the court and are responsible for the transition game calls.

Proposal to improve WBB officiating:
*Assign 4 officials to all college & WNBA games
*Official 1 stays under basket (no full-court run): handles paint & baseline calls (sees action coming) Official 2 stays under opposite basket: same role.
*Officials 3 & 4 run diagonal from FT wing to FT wing: manage backcourt flow (not responsible for paint calls).
*If rare injury occurs, revert to 3 officials to finish game.
Bigger idea: Centralize all officiating under one org—USAB.
