@DriverXag @TheSeanEsposito Hello Driver, While your assumption may be true (though, we don’t know what Christ was feeling), He did rest when He died because death is a sleep (Ecclesiastes 9, Psalms 146, John 11).

@CelerityCall @TheSeanEsposito I don’t think Christ got much rest while bearing the punishment for the sins of the world—most of all—the displeasure of the Father crushing Him.

@triggerman1976 @TheSeanEsposito Hello NotAFollower, God established the sabbath at creation before Jews existed; and it is part of the Ten Commandments that you and I are required to honor if we want eternal life (Genesis 2, Exodus 20, Ecclesiastes 12, Revelation 22).

@Stevenbain7 @TheSeanEsposito Hi Steven, The Pharisees accused Him for breaking their traditions that they added to the sabbath commandment that God did not add. Jesus made the sabbath as a delight (Genesis 2, Mark 2, John 1). The Pharisees with their rigid traditions made the sabbath a burden.

@Optilous @TheSeanEsposito Hello Optilous, Based on the Bible, the sabbath is part of the Ten Commandments that we are still required to keep; and He now writes those in our hearts and minds as the new covenant (Exodus 20, Ecclesiastes 12, Hebrews 8 & 10).
