We’ve seen this play before. It does not end well. You cannot placate the far right by offering sacrifices (see Republican primaries). It just gives them a head start on the rest of their agenda. And in the process @UTAustin has alienated true supporters of academic freedom.

Today is a key deadline in knowing what will happen in the 2024 primary! If we do not have a signed contract today for the @TravisCountyTX to approve next Tuesday 12/19 this will delay election preparation until 1/9/24. We support a contract with countywide voting today!
