@gwpurnell @DrRobgalloway The information’s already out there — no one needs an eating plan handed to them. Reducing nutrition to “just take a pill” is the real problem.

@ChimaAnya @DrRobgalloway As we get older, we don't need (or even want) to eat so much. Getting a varied diet with all the nutrients we need becomes harder if we eat less. Saying we need to vary our diet, without providing eating plans with essential nutrients, is pontificating and next to useless.

For years, doctors dismissed multivitamins as pointless. I was taught they were little more than expensive urine. But the evidence has shifted, and I think we need to be honest about that.
A major study, followed by further analyses, suggests a daily multivitamin may help slow cognitive decline and even modestly slow biological ageing. Not reverse ageing. Not transform your health overnight. But slow the decline, and that matters.
The most likely reason is not magic. It is probably that small nutritional deficiencies, the sort we do not routinely measure or even recognise, may quietly affect cell repair, inflammation, brain health and ageing over many years.
That is why I have changed my mind. For something cheap, low risk and widely available, I now think taking a daily multivitamin is a sensible decision.
The bigger message is this: medicine has probably underestimated the importance of nutrition for far too long. We have focused on drugs, surgery and genetics, while often overlooking the possibility that small deficiencies building up over time may play a bigger part in how we age than we wanted to admit.

This isn’t realistic or helpful — people need to prioritise health and this messaging promotes the opposite.

The NHS should fit around your life, not the other way around.

@DunkNastee @Kurrco Completely agree what an empty gesture I wanted to love it but it looks and sounds slapped together messily looks like karaoke
English

@Kurrco Love the song but this sounds horrible. The mixing of her pre recorded vocals, her vocals and then ye. It’s a mess

@turnthenotison I didn't enjoy the album either. I think he's best when he doesn't say too much, or try to flesh the sounds out too much. Best example of this is "death of love". The live version had me excited for the album, but the studio version of the song borderlines on annoying.

Embarrassing to admit I haven’t listened to much of James Blake’s solo work
Really wanted to like this album but imo this is pretty uninteresting apart from a few great moments in Make Something Up, Rest of Your Life and parts of Didn’t come to argue
Could see this growing on me because I can 100% see the vision this album is going for. Spacey, minimalistic production like this can be incredibly beautiful but I can’t say it’s working for me here. Not a fan of the way most of these songs are written.
I like Blake’s voice at a baseline but I don’t think he’s doing anything extraordinary with it on this.
