Fun Fact: 🎸 Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” was inspired by the Mark Twain character… but that’s not the full story. Neil Peart wrote the lyrics after reading a poem called “Tom Sawyer” by his friend Pye Dubois (from Max Webster). He then reimagined it as a modern-day rebel — “a modern-day warrior, mean, mean stride.” The result? One of the most iconic rock songs ever, with that legendary bass line and drum fill that still gives chills. Who else thinks this is peak Rush? 🤘

@RichOToole There’s a guy on x that explained their business model. It’s all a real estate play with cheap leases they can make money selling/exiting on locations that grow in value after they’ve been there for a few years. The mattress sales are just to pay the staff and keep the lights on.

That's basically the chord progression of so many rock songs. If you ever checked out the song "4 Chords" by comedy rock group The Axis of Awesome, they use this exact chord progression and show like 47 different songs in studio recording and an additional 40 something live.
