Isnt the transfer portal for kids not getting a good opportunity, coach/team issues, etc? I’m confused where the recruiting kids from other teams is coming from? Do we as coaches not have morals/respect for each other anymore? I would feel terrible talking/taking a coaches player

Great coaches hold you accountable. If someone loves you, they won’t let you settle for less than your best. Real care speaks up. It challenges, corrects, and calls you higher even when it’s uncomfortable. If someone watches you self-destruct in silence, that’s not love that’s neglect. Don’t confuse comfort with care. The people who challenge you with truth are the ones who truly have your back. Let coaches coach.

Couldn’t agree more with this. 👏 As coaches, we’re not just trying to win games—we’re trying to help young men grow into strong, resilient adults. Also, communication still matters. Ghosting coaches or teammates may seem easy, but in the real world, that burns bridges fast.
