Wow. Cal Baptist announced they were cutting Wrestling earlier this week, so the team was going to compete in their final meet without CBU logos. Deputy AD Joey Logan came in to threaten the team that either they would wear school-issued uniforms or not compete.

On to the quarters!

Tagg Charity (126) loses his 2nd match. The sophomore, 2x State Qualifier finishes his season 29-18

Maria Pascual Francisco (110) loses her 2nd match and her State Journey. The senior team captain finishes her season 29-10. She was the first girl to join our program with no experience, and ends her career as a state qualifier!

Maria Pascual Francisco (110) punches her ticket “To the Ball” with a 3rd place finish at Regionals! The senior captain makes her first trip to State! Tagg Charity (126) secures his 4th place finish via wrestle back and will compete in his 2nd state tournament

Maria Pascual Francisco (110) into the semis and Day 2, with a pin and tech! Tagg Charity (126) with two quick pins to also go into the semis Jojo Galvan (138) with a tech and a pin to the semis Mackenzie Johnson (145) also gets a pin to get into the semis!

David Lopez (175) also advances into day 2 on the consolation side, looking for a bid to state still!
