@barkinforlarkin @CM065757992247 @runaway_vol I think their idea is that you raise taxes on the areas that are nice and redistribute their money so that people in bad areas can live without having to work harder which slightly improves the bad area but eventually destroys the nice area, equalizing everyone and everything.

@Cernovich I remember being on vacay in Florida as an 8 year old and getting caught and pulled under by a strong current. Ripped me off my feet. Couldn't fight it and could see nothing but sand. Saved when I ran into my dad and grabbed onto his legs. Still remember my ears full of sand.

This is rip tide and drowning awareness month. (I made that up.) Drowning doesn’t look like anything, the kid plops in and sinks. Hire a lifeguard if you’re having a party. Most drownings are when a parent is present. Everyone assumes someone is keeping an eye out. No one is.

My main criticism of OnlyFans and similar sites isn’t the nudity (though this line of attack is valid), it’s that millions of women are essentially running what amounts to a romance scam. Wholesale fraud. Beyond that, most OnlyFans girls have a typer/chatter (typically male, or now AI) that does the chatting. If you claim the men get to talk to YOU (for money) but it’s actually someone else, that’s misrepresentation and fraud. Porn production has its defenders, but the intentional creation of fake relationships for profit is undeniably wrong. The scam/fraud aspect is completely indefensible: 1. Selling the illusion of personal connection 2. Fabricated intimacy for financial gain 3. Pay-to-progress “relationship steps” 4. Emotional baiting and withholding 5. False exclusivity 6. Dangling a potential future 7. Targeting vulnerable or lonely individuals

The irony of Bill’s comment is that starfleet is decidedly anti woke. Star Trek depicted the world as colorblind and purely merit based. Uhura wasn’t assigned because starfleet had racial quotas, she was the most competent person for the position. Woke demands the opposite.

There wasn’t a single episode of TOS where Uhura’s race, or discrimination she faced due to it, was a central plot point.

the dc streetcar's final week of service is upon us. it was born in a 2002 feasibility study, promised as a 33-mile network, delivered as 2.2 miles on H street with no fare collection, and is being replaced by a bus that does the same thing but can turn. $200 million well spent.
