Besides the ending id even say there are many issues that p2 (csm in general ig) have too. Many characters like the ice witch or sun should have had more which is the same issue as with p2 sidecast

Controversial take, but Firepunch has a lot of the same problems as CSM Pt.2, Part 1 was clearly planned from the start both in Pt.2 and Firepunch there is multi-chapter stretches where it's clear he is not sure where to take the story and thus random plotpoints get abbandoned. This may be not as painful on speedread, but Firepunch having like 10 chapters of Agni just walking through the snow was agonizing when reading weekly.

The worst part of this is that Fujimoto isn't some hack. You don't write Part 1, Goodbye Eri, Look Back, or Fire Punch if you're a bad author. Any claims that he is are in bad faith. So the manga turning out like this even in spite of that is what makes it so damn disappointing.

now that part two is over: fire devil and fakesaw man were mishandled. i felt like the fire devil arc had the potential to be the most poignant villain of part two but she was a nothingburger. sad.

The worst defense of the ending is trying to make it out like the people who are upset are somehow "close minded" about art. Saw a post that said people who cared about the character arcs being cut off is somehow "tvtropes brained". Are we fucking for real

@Cerebrawl37 Yeah, and with Denji, the other brother died because of Denji, so why would he want to save him during falling arc? There's like 3-4 versions of the character and none of them make sense to be the same character

Is it time to admit Fakesaw Man was a load of bullshit yet? People kept going ‘they’re all different guys how could you think they’re the same’ and now we’re at the end and the only explanation is that Fuji had no vision for this character and rebooted him every time he appeared
