@So1373023 @serketmaxxing 1) the significance isn’t the character finding it for me, the significance stems from the character finding it for himself. Denji doesn’t make the conscious decision to throw away his attachment to chainsaw man, he dropped a tool and that’s it. 2) someone needs to reread 97.

@Common_mon @serketmaxxing Which is why I said dropped not rejected. If you can only find significance in something when a character finds it for you then idk what to say. Uh.. and idk if you ever read chainsaw man but makima and nayuta's behavior are night and day despite being in the same position

Unexpectedly similar ideas being expressed through Diane's attempt at build an identity and career out of her traumatic experiences, and Denji's relationship with his Chainsaw Man persona. Both characters only find fulfillment once they reject the identity tied to their trauma.
Media Literate Vriska Serket - ⚢@serketmaxxing

I feel like it'd be particularly painful because many expected Denji's narrative to revolve around successfully overcoming trauma, 'growing' through it and therefore be empowering. This was a lot closer to what Fujimoto ended up expressing.

@thismightbejayy @rizzyrazzyman @Denjiman2022 @WasFayday If they are one and the same why was there not a dialogue between the two. Pochita made a decision and stuck with it despite Denji’s protests. This in itself is proof Pochita and Denji are different people, they just inhabited the same body.

@thismightbejayy @rizzyrazzyman @Denjiman2022 @WasFayday So you admit Denji did not want to reset but Pochita recognized it was needed? That means you also recognize that therefore Denji did not keep the promise, Pochita did. Denji did not play a part in it. That is why it is hollow.

@So1373023 @serketmaxxing Uh… well for one rejecting something requires you to actively recognize the situation and till reject it. Denji does not know the chainsaw is significant, therefore it isn’t a significant moment. Two, we don’t know if Nayuta is raised with love. She is a PS pawn now.

@Common_mon @serketmaxxing True he keeps embracing it but isn't pt 2 the downward spiral of not rejecting that identity? That's y I find it refreshing that he drops it bc now that his abuser was raised with love he doesn't end up with that burden anymore.

@thismightbejayy @rizzyrazzyman @Denjiman2022 @WasFayday Nowhere in 231 did Denji agree with or consent to the reset. This tells us, the reader, that he is not in fact cool with it happening. I’m not arguing with someone over a media when they have a profile pic tied to it. I can tell it won’t be good faith.

This monster is the reason for denji being hypersexual. Without pochta she has no reason to exist, hence denji is not as hypersexual

#csm232 and how does getting rid of pochita cure denji of chasing sex and objectifying women when its not pochita who put those ideas into his head. Now all of a sudden he's normal about women?

@kaludiasays I think claiming his life is healthier off of the little we get to see after the reset is projecting your personal feelings onto a chapter that doesn’t necessarily agree. Denji is back to square one as a pawn for those who wish to use him, and after seeing the depths of human-

@RealTruggler I’m gonna be real if your like/dislike of a piece of media hinges on what your opps think of it then im sorry you don’t like the media you just like being a part of the craze. Dislike of Chibi and dislike of the CSM ending are not mutually exclusive.

@CraftyAdrian360 Bro humans are the culmination of their lived experiences. New Denji did not live through the past Denji’s experiences, only at MOST viewing them as a hazy dream. Acting as if Denji has learned from anything is naive and disregards how he was acting in 231.

@serketmaxxing Nayuta and Makima are not the same person. People who act like Nayuta is Makima’s good end do not take into account that Makima is, in fact, dead.

This is achieved through the existence of Nayuta and her relationship with Denji. It's stablished that the emotional connections stemming from the relationships that existed in the original universe carry over, so this still apply post-pochita. Nayuta is Makima's happy ending.
𝓔lora 𝜗ৎ mkm stan !@makimasangel

i need you all to understand that makima does not exist to only adore chainsaw man. makimas goal was to form an equal relationship with someone, anyone. chainsaw man just HAPPENED TO BE that being she chased. she would not kill herself in a world without chainsaw man. she would-

@briff_c Pochita kills the person attacking and the one attacked when they are called on. This theory doesn’t work

@jetinarround @SrinjoySen3363 This is not me saying he is hypersexual, this is me saying it is not ALL Makima’s fault he becomes hypersexual. His fascination with sex is a coping mechanism developed to deal with his dangerous life, and his life is still dangerous. He will fall into some form of addiction-

Might as well shoot my shot. If you are a #chainsawman fan and are looking for a new read, give “The Climber” a read. It is an expertly crafted Manga by an artist who is deeply in love with the sport. It sits at the table with Vagabond and Vinland Saga as one of the greats.
