@CardiffRugbyWeb @Daibish79 @CraigosP1 There’s a training barn at PyS and one part of the proposed redevelopment of St Helens.
English

@Daibish79 @CraigosP1 The grounds they’ll get involved in for the associated boost to the local economy, general training facilities though? Minimal stuff there as far as I’m aware.

So do we now accept that there is no route to 4 competitive teams and the only way to stay at 4 is to remain in the uncompetitive purgatory we’re currently in and effectively become a development scheme for top European sides to benefit from?

Details emerge for bold alternative Welsh rugby plan that would keep four sides | @Steffan_Thomas1 walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/ru…

@CardiffRugbyWeb @CraigosP1 I thought it was to be £28m investment into the pathways etc
English

@CraigosP1 There’s a difference between slimming it all down to one central pot to make it seem like an investment, and actually investing more money. There’s nothing like the £20m going into the pathway as proposed in the current WRU plan.
English

@DMRees2011 I’m sure that all other regions would love to have the conference about the future that Cardiff have

Y11 must have been given the old wink, wink, nod, nod by tricky Dicky before the EGM

@AsaFoodAndWine @CraigosP1 @FabioPerini123 2/2
2. We know how to do it,
3. We have a clear plan to achieve it;
4. Everyone is on board (that includes the remaining regional owners),
5. We are being led by people we have confidence in and trust to deliver this for welsh rugby.
English

@AsaFoodAndWine @CraigosP1 @FabioPerini123 Listened to that too.
When DR refers to the national academy as a “Concept” we should all be worried how well formed these ideas are.
Whatever anyone’s preferred outcome is, we will have one shot at getting right, so we need to be confident that:
1. It’s the right thing to do
English

@ConcernedRF @FabioPerini123 Your case is that you haven’t been paying attention.
Ok then.
English

@AsaFoodAndWine @FabioPerini123 So you can’t point to it. I rest my case.
English

@ConcernedRF @FabioPerini123 I mean, you can do your own research; but I struggle to believe you don’t know what’s happening.
English

@AsaFoodAndWine @FabioPerini123 If that’s the case please point me to where it is all stated in one place and coherently.
English

@ConcernedRF @FabioPerini123 I’m not sure what you’re missing, but pretty much all of that has been laid out.
The only thing that hasn’t been confirmed is the one thing that everyone is taking for granted - that the Ospreys will be the team to fold.

BREAKING: WRU set date for EGM as Welsh rugby war comes to head at Principality Stadium walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/ru…
English

@AsaFoodAndWine @FabioPerini123 I’ll repeat, they have set out goals, objectives, even some aspirations.
That’s not a plan.
A plan is a detailed, arranged method for achieving a goal, typically formulated in advance. Often includes specific steps, actions or timelines designed to guide future behavior.
English

@ConcernedRF @FabioPerini123 I find it really hard to believe you DON’T know what the plan is. It’s been laid out enough times, hasn’t it?
English

@ccurts2 @TheVietGwent @WalesRugby The instructions sent out said that won’t be allowed. A WRU staff member will choose which can be read and if time allows.
Hardly an option for true debate and free speech, which ever way your inclined to vote.
English

@TheVietGwent @WalesRugby I agree. Certainly games being played to make things more difficult and for the debate not to be had properly.
No ability to directly ask questions if you’re online, only via a chat mechanism.
English

@ConcernedRF @WalesRugby 1. They clearly don't want to risk any bandwagon in a room with a big attendance.
2. The one motion requires a much lesser 50%.
English

@TheVietGwent @WalesRugby Perhaps. But the timing appears to be making attendance in any form more challenging than usual. Agm/EGMs have usually been held on a weekend.
English

@ConcernedRF @WalesRugby Isn't discouraging personal attendance, rather than online, the very point...?

Apparently the WRU has brought in a media / PR firm on a large retainer to improve their image. If they set up this interview etc, they should be sacked.
Andrew Baldock@balders2
Really not sure why Reddin did that interview. Yesterday was all about the players, Steve Tandy, his coaches and the fans. No-one else.
English

Hoping that this ratio of clubs in support of the EGM motions continues. Time for a change #WRUEGM
