"There is no way America chose to go to war with Iran for its own interests! It must be ISRAEL controlling us!!!" ~ Nick Fuentes.
Luckily, Trump is far smarter than Nick. Either way, let's list some benefits America could acquire if Iran is declawed or a regime change is achieved:
(1) Iran has the world's second-largest gas field reserve and the third-largest oil reserve. A friendly regime in Iran would divert the trade of said critical energy resources towards the West. That would ensure cheaper energy prices for us, while our adversaries would suffer from the opposite phenomenon.
To prove my point, Trump has already done exactly that in Venezuela.
(2) America is preparing for the potential of a larger global conflict with China, Russia and their allies. Fighting Iran during such a conflict would be much harder, as the US won't be able to concentrate its forces on it. Therefore, Trump chose to get rid of the Mullah regime now prior to the projected wider conflict.
It is better to have the Straits of Hormuz closed now temporarily than to have them closed for a longer period while fighting a greater war.
(3) Prior to the war, the US had to station immense military forces in the Middle East to protect the Arab countries (NOT Israel, shocking, I know!). By removing the Iranian threat, those military forces could be moved elsewhere, or the budget they consume could be transferred into other, non-military needs of the US.
(4) The end of the Mullah regime could spell the end of many of Iran's terrorist proxies, leading to a similar effect as that of point (3).
(5) A new regime in Iran could be integrated into the Western system, both in terms of trade routes, logistics and manufacturing.
I could write a dozen more points or expand on any of those points and quantify them in monetary terms, but I'm not writing an article here. I think I've made it clear enough that influencers like Nick Fuentes have no understanding of the topics they speak about.
