Introducing the MEFAI ERC-7702 Wallet Delegation Checker We just released a free open-source tool that lets you check if your wallet has been compromised by an ERC-7702 delegation attack in seconds. After our investigation into the CrimeEnjoyer drainer family that has hit over 450,000 wallets globally we realized most users have no easy way to know if their wallet has been silently delegated to an attacker. The standard method requires running RPC calls from a terminal which is not realistic for everyday crypto users. So we built this. Enter your wallet address. Pick your chain. Hit check. The tool queries public blockchain RPC nodes directly from your browser and reads your wallet's bytecode. If it starts with 0xef01 your wallet has an active ERC-7702 delegation and anything you send to it will be stolen instantly. What it does, - Checks any wallet on BSC, Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum - Detects active ERC-7702 delegations in real time - Identifies known drainer contracts like CrimeEnjoyer by name - Supports batch checking so you can verify hundreds of wallets at once - Runs entirely in your browser. No backend. No data collected. No wallet connection needed. We built this because the CrimeEnjoyer controller at 0xa7bff280ba6308ebc8fa3f5a1fa1b455aa57e972 has executed over 3,800 transactions and is still running right now. MEFAI Security Research | four.meme ERC-7702 Attack Vector Analysis We've completed a full forensic investigation into the ERC-7702 CrimeEnjoyer delegation attacks hitting BSC users who interact with meme token launchpads. Over the past weeks we received reports from multiple users who lost all funds in their wallets after using four.meme to launch or trade tokens. One victim's dev wallet was completely drained with zero BNB remaining. The wallet's bytecode now starts with 0xef01 which is the ERC-7702 delegation marker. This means the wallet's execution logic was permanently handed over to an attacker controlled contract. When the @Build4ai @BenTodar team informed us about the issue through the dev account, we started investigating four.meme. Because we trust this developer, and if they only interacted with four.meme, then the problem could have been caused by four.meme. We deepened the investigation. And we started working together. We traced the attack to the CrimeEnjoyer drainer family. The controller address 0xa7bff280ba6308ebc8fa3f5a1fa1b455aa57e972 has over 3800 transactions and is still actively draining wallets at a rate of approximately one transaction every 68 seconds. The delegate contract at 0x91c478e3a87626be374e0c29338ad68f38556e2c contains a fallback function that automatically forwards any BNB sent to compromised wallets and a multicall function that lets the attacker execute arbitrary token transfers from the victim's address. We reverse engineered the delegate contract bytecode and identified 5 functions. A receive and fallback that auto sweep BNB. A multicall that executes batched calls as the victim. A selfdestruct for evidence cleanup. And a name function that returns the string "wee" which serves as the CrimeEnjoyer family fingerprint. Our investigation into four.meme's codebase shows the platform itself does not directly trigger ERC-7702 delegations. The create-token.js and token_address.js files have zero references to signAuthorization or authorizationList. four.meme's own transaction flow uses standard Type 0x02 contract calls for buyToken sellToken and approve operations. However we identified several architectural conditions that increase user exposure to this type of attack. The platform loads over 2MB of JavaScript across 9+ bundles without Subresource Integrity hashes on any script tag. There is no Content Security Policy header. The CORS configuration uses a wildcard allowing any origin to make authenticated requests. And the viem wallet library loaded on all token pages includes the signAuthorization and prepareAuthorization functions in the page context. While four.meme does not call these functions any code injected through a CDN modification or network level interception would have direct access to them. We also found 5 active phishing domains including 4meme.com which loads browser fingerprinting scripts and fourmeme.xyz hosted on AWS which redirects to a lander page. Every finding in our report can be independently verified with a single curl command. No special tools needed. No accounts needed. Just open your terminal and run the commands we provided. If you are a four.meme user please check your wallet immediately. You can verify if your wallet has been compromised by calling eth_getCode on your address through any BSC RPC endpoint. A normal wallet returns 0x. If yours returns anything starting with 0xef01 your wallet has an active ERC-7702 delegation and you should stop using it immediately. ERC-7702 CODE FOUND! eip7702 3 times. 7702 16 times. Authorize 6 times. authorize 3 times. All in the _app bundle. and these 3 things they didn't fix are1 NO SRI. 9+ JS files are uploaded without integrity hash. Changes cannot be detected on the CDN. 2 NO CSP. Any injected code runs. 3 Wildcard CORS. Any site can make a request to the API. 3 eip7702 instances in _app: 1. if(authorizationList) -> type="eip7702" = type detector 2. "0x4":"eip7702" = hex->name table 3. "eip7702":"0x4" + authorizationList serialization = CRITICAL: If the transaction has an authorizationList, it automatically converts it to type 0x04. Problem | four.meme doesn't call it itself, BUT the viem library automatically processes the authorizationList. If the JS is changed on the CDN (no SRI), the injected code adds an authorizationList to the transaction object. viem converts it to type 0x04 (ERC-7702) without noticing. The user sees a normal transaction in the MetaMask. They approve it. The wallet is transferred.

If you are a four.meme user please check your wallet immediately. You can verify if your wallet has been compromised by calling eth_getCode on your address through any BSC RPC endpoint. A normal wallet returns 0x. If yours returns anything starting with 0xef01 your wallet has an active ERC-7702 delegation and you should stop using it immediately. Do not send any funds to that address. Create a new wallet from a clean device with a fresh seed phrase. You can check your wallet for this problem in our second post below.
