@iky_fwjett It’s bc, at least in the US, women surpassed men in college & post grad attendance, graduation %, hire-ability, & top positions of power in companies. Only thing we still lagged in was salary compared to men. Medicare white men can’t compete so the rules need to change.

Women have been saying for years that there is a growing backlash against gender equality, and every time the conversation comes up we’re told we’re imagining it. Now the United Nations is saying it. According to a UN report, nearly 1 in 4 countries reported setbacks in women’s rights and gender equality. Hundreds of millions of women and girls are living in conflict zones, violence against women remains widespread, and UN officials are warning about a growing backlash against women’s rights worldwide. The part that stands out to me isn’t even the statistics. It’s that women have been raising concerns about misogyny, online hostility toward women, violence, and attacks on reproductive rights for years, only to be dismissed as overreacting. If the UN Secretary-General is warning about the “mainstreaming of misogyny,” maybe it’s time to stop pretending these concerns came out of nowhere. Do you think women’s rights are genuinely facing setbacks, or do you think organizations like the UN are exaggerating the problem?

I’ve been informed by folks on this site that The Hobbit and now Jane Austen are too difficult for teens. I can’t stress enough how condescending this is to teenagers. You’re taking away all the things that might bring them joy and leaving them with no pastimes but scrolling.

@TRIGGERHAPPYV1 Just report the driver & they get blocked from accepting more orders. I ordered 1 case of water & 4 bags of groceries to my elderly parent’s house. They have 3 stairs. That’s it. The driver piled everything at the end of their driveway. I reported & Walmart even refunded.

@kaitduffy We all had the same experience, huh? Except the divorce part for me. And I didn’t get therapy until I was an adult. But why was I age 9 & left alone all summer with my 5 yo & 7 yo siblings? And then I’d get in trouble if they really messed something up. ME! Also a CHILD!

Millennials grew up WAYYY too fast. Like there was no reason I should have been watching Jerry Springer and doing my own laundry and ordering pizzas home alone age 9 while also having to go to therapy for my parent’s divorce
