@mrdavebyrne the little at Southwark, programming is always interesting and it’s a good environment. Not a studio exactly but love the Dorfman. The quality of shows is superb. it’s a mix of programming and environment for the audience where you don’t feel like the space is an afterthought.

WE DID IT! Broadway will dim ALL its marquees for Gavin Creel, well as for Adrian Bailey and Maggie Smith on other nights. Thank you to everyone who signed the petition and to the @BroadwayLeague for doing the right thing.

Ah the ‘is Rocky Horror problematic’ chat. Through a 2024 lens - of course it is. But babies, being gay was *illegal* in England 6 years before Rocky was first staged in ‘73.
It was brave, bold & brilliant for its time. Look beyond the end of your own nose, just briefly. Please.

The @BroadwayLeague is underestimating the impact that Gavin Creel’s death has had on the community. Partial dimming seems wrong. This is an every-theater case.

@SOLTnews @stageyrebecca @TheStage @DMTWestEnd I have to disagree as Gavin was a Star here and on Broadway and a massive LGBTQ+ advocate. I understand it can't be done for every actor but Gavin's name was instantly recognisable and he had a hugely positive impact on the industry.

@stageyrebecca @TheStage @DMTWestEnd Sadly, it is not possible to dim the lights for all the brilliant people that have performed in the West End. Gavin will be remembered at the Olivier Awards in April. We share your admiration for his work as he was a truly wonderful actor and lovely human being.
