Appreciate the time and opportunity to discuss the NCAA tournament and many other topics with @chnews Some solutions to a glaring issue in our sport… Goal: Improve the playoff experience for fans and student-athletes while securing an ABC carve-out on the next NCAA TV contract—similar to what other sports have received. We need to identify solutions that enhance the in-game atmosphere of playoff hockey and ultimately, the visibility and growth of our game.

Love the discussion, but let’s start with how we get to the Frozen Four first! “Neutral” regionals need to go. Week 1 = Top 8 host bottom. Thursday - Sunday / 2 games a day. Week 2 = Continue the bracket. Saturday and Sunday / 2 games a day. Week 3 = FF pushed to Saturday and Monday. In this model / 30 DIFFERENT schools host in the last 10 years in round 1. 21 different schools host in round 2. College hockey fans deserve playoff hockey on home sites / Players deserve great atmospheres to play in whether you’re the lower or higher seed. Denver vs PC should have been in friartown this year.
