A gift from the Class of 1873, the MSU Rock is a beloved campus monument that has spanned generations of students. Painting it is a Spartan tradition. When a small piece of its special paint layers fell off recently, we preserved it and took photos to share.

There is currently not a single bile acid detection protocol that can fully capture the true diversity of bile acids, and, as a result, the ability to comprehensively detect and describe the extensive bile acid metabolic network represents a 21st century analytical challenge!!!

Needed to do 96 wp platereader anaerobic cultures but the machine is not built for that. Then I thought: no headspace = no oxygen right? So I filled the wells to the brim and stuck PCR seal over it and BOOM it worked! Data below 👇
