@T4CIP_ A7: Prevention is key! Store button batteries out of sight and reach; Buy button batteries with child-resistant packaging; And make sure your products that use button batteries are secured with screws and other barriers to prevent access. #ButtonBatterySafety

@T4CIP_ A5: The first step is call for help (911) or start heading to the emergency department. If you have honey on hand, you can 2 teaspoons every 10 minutes for 6 total doses or until you make it to the Emergency Room. But DON'T DELAY CARE to get honey! #ButtonBatterySafety

Q5: What should families do if they see or suspect their child has swallowed a button battery? #ButtonBatterySafety

@T4CIP_ A4: Scarring and pain; Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), potentially leading to alternate means of feeding (G-tube, NG tube); airway injuries requiring tracheostomy tubes; and more. #ButtonBatterySafety

Q4: What kind of long-term damage can swallowing a button battery cause? #ButtonBatterySafety
