2⃣ weeks ago, I published an investigation exposing how the Philippine Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of #China operates as a #CCP political mobilization vehicle right in the heart of Manila.
My article linked to videos from Manila-based CNTV showing Philippine civic leaders being instructed by Chinese officials to "unite around the Party Central Committee and Comrade Xi Jinping." 🫡🇨🇳
🗑️ Shortly after publication, however Chinatown TV started deleting those videos from its platforms.
🤔 Why would a broadcaster erase its own content?
The answer is simple: the videos are undeniable evidence of foreign-directed political organizing on Philippine soil. CNTV's propagandistic coverage—delivered by anchors describing how attendees "must bear in mind the entrustment of President Xi Jinping"—can no longer be defended as "cultural" programming.
😉 Fortunately, SeaLight archived everything.
🎦 We've now re-uploaded all seven deleted videos documenting Chinese diplomats directing local organizations on "anti-independence" activities; Philippine business and civic leaders at events where loyalty to Xi Jinping is promoted; and systematic coordination of transnational 🇨🇳 #UnitedFront networks across Asia.
As foreign influence operations face growing scrutiny, the scrubbing of the archives becomes part of the story. It's an admission that this content poses a reputational liability they can no longer afford.
