Julian Nagelsmann was annoyed when asked about Deniz Undav again at the press conference after the game
• How did you see Undav's performance and goal? And what did you make of his statement that his [substitute] role might change if he keeps on scoring goals?
Nagelsmann: "He put himself under pressure with his statements, so it's okay for me. As soon as he starts scoring less goals... He's simply putting himself under pressure. If he can handle that, then it's very good. I didn't think his performance was good until the goal. I believe he only touched the ball once before scoring. But that's also what makes him a top striker, to be at the right time where the ball is. He did well with the goal. But I'm not sure if he would have been able to make that same move had he been running around for 70 minutes before. We'll play in 42 degrees in the summer, which can be exhausting for him. He did that move because he was fresh. We'll need some game-changers [off the bench] in the summer to decide games. We'll not always be able to decide games in the first 60 minutes. That's his task and his role. Enough has been said about this Deniz Undav saga that's been dragging on for 7 days now"
