Confirmation from France manager that Hugo Ekitike will miss the World Cup due to a “serious” Achilles injury.
"His disappointment is immense. Hugo will regain his top form, I'm convinced of it. But I wanted to express all my support to him, as well as that of the entire staff. We know he'll be fully behind the France team, and we're all thinking of him very strongly."

Feels like Slot is cutting off his nose to spite his own face by dropping Salah again when we were awful in the away game and have to turn around a 2-0 deficit. It's strikes me as deliberately disrespectful, Salah played well and scored in last match. It's a personal gripe.

The 13 game run had numerous draws and was typical of this shocker of a season, the odd good display followed by limp, indifferent, dull football.
Slot is out of his depth and can't justify benching the best forward in the EPL.
