Early reactions to this @Blast proposal seem to be majority positive, which is very concerning. It's true the efficiency of Blast's flywheel is heavily dependant on the token's price, and increasing it could reignite the magic, but this attempt seems very desperate and bordering immoral. Turning dormant capital into forced buyers would IMO be the final nail in the coffin for blast. Anyone who wants to bet on Blast and specifically the token, is already holding it. The price increase would come from a) dormant (unsuspecting) capital, simply not realizing this is happening and not selling or planning to sell and b) speculators riding the wave short term, siphoning funds from a). In any case, if this suicidal proposal goes through, please make it coincide with the S2 Airdrop, so us users can reap the rewards too. Bonus: hilarious responses on the forums and twitter replies. We have: 1) People with $100 sitting on Blast shouting "Bullish! Great proposal! LFG", thinking they might wake up to an extra $30 in their wallet. 2) Jenn, a member of the Blast council, struggling to understand what the proposal does and asking for clarification. 3) Thruster 'strongly in support' of the proposal and even promising to drive more incentives for $BLAST liquidity on their platform. Very concerning. Go Fenix?
