A United Airlines flight has aborted its takeoff after an anti-ice warning light comes on, flight attendants in the back are feeling ill from an unknown odor, and the crew declares an emergency when no gates are immediately available. A Port Authority fire truck, Truck 1, is dispatched to respond. At the same time, Air Canada Express Flight 8646, a Jazz Aviation Bombardier CRJ-900 operating from Montreal Trudeau International Airport, is on final approach to Runway 4. The lone controller on duty, simultaneously managing both ground and tower operations, clears Truck 1 to cross the runway. Seconds later, as Flight 8646 is landing at between 93 and 105 miles per hour, he realises his mistake. He calls for the truck to stop. Over and over. It is too late. The CRJ-900 strikes the fire truck on Runway 4. The impact destroys the cockpit and tears open the front fuselage. Both pilots are killed. A Delta flight on approach is sent around. Jazz 646 comes to rest on the runway, its nose elevated, its cockpit gone. LaGuardia closes entirely. 72 passengers and four crew members were on board. 41 people are taken to hospital. The fire truck had been sent to help one emergency. It became another. This fluey virus thing I've got has been so weird. It started with joint pains/weakness and no other symptoms for a week, on Sunday I was struggling to sing the hymns and by Monday morning I had the whole lot - aches, fever, cough etc. And then this morning my throat is also sore. It's like it's gone backwards - I've not had anything quite like this before.

@Jenny_1884 I always check meat, I always try to buy from the butchers / wholesalers but if I go to supermarket as a lot closer I check it and would advise people to do the same. You’d think you’re buying 100% meat, you’d be very wrong

Has anyone else started checking the ingredients of products that they are buying nowadays especially if it has palm oil in which is supposedly bad for us? It’s a real eye opener what is being put in our food.
