i think the point all black americans are making is that you’re still appropriating black culture. don’t y’all have y’all own dances to do? why not do those? celebrate your own culture
marv@mvn_dn

That is NOT the original audio and these Filipina divas ALWAYS give credit to the og choreography. Cultural appropriation is a real problem but there’s a difference between stealing from / mocking a culture vs showing an appreciation / being inspired by it.

@DlRECTME Blacks actually appropriated dancing from Asians. Asians have been around much longer, and created all of the dances that black people emulate.

@DlRECTME As blacks walk around wearing cloths created by western culture. The day I see them wearin "booga booga" clothing. This is why every nation hates blacks

@DlRECTME @TNwoman62 No, it wouldn't be a problem to us Filipinos, we're not narrow minded and we don't have a victim mindset even though we were colonized by your country and other countries too. We appreciate when foreigners wear our traditional dress and sing our songs in our language.

@DlRECTME I’m black, I drive a car, I’m a computer programmer, I wear clothes from white designers, I invest in the stock market. These areas that come from other cultures as far as I know. Should I not do those things because of that?

majorettes aren't black. black dancers added a certain swagger but it's not african american tradition in that sense. the first black majorettes group was in 1968. white ppl did stop doing it en masse once we started, which is obvious because we don't see them but...
