I avoid sarcopenia (low muscle mass) with an animal protein based diet, and resistance training. Sarcopenia leads to insulin resistance, and mobility problems in older people. I am not one of those hard carnivore people, I do add beans, rice, fruits or vegetables to make my protein more palatable. Not that there is anything wrong with strict carnivore, it’s just not something that I can sustain.
