This is turning into the most expensive premiership in our history. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Sad day. To me it is the end of the Norman line that effectively created our Parliament in the first place. I fear the House stands much diminished now.

Zack Polanski and the Green Party are peddling absolute economic insanity. They scream for a punishing wealth tax, straight-up theft from hard-working, successful people, to bankroll “universal” handouts for everyone. Then in the next breath, this clown demands the rich billionaires they’re robbing also get the handouts too. Tax the productive… then cut them a cheque from the loot! Madness!

This is extraordinary. Only really comparable to 2008 and 1979/80. Be nice to think we might be near a turning point though struggling to see that

Today at PMQs, Keir Starmer selectively quoted Olly Robbins’ evidence at the Foreign Affairs Select Committee. Starmer said on Mandelson’s vetting: "no pressure existed whatsoever in relation to this case". But Robbins’ own written evidence to the Committee talks of an “atmosphere of pressure" from No10. On Monday, Robbins told the Committee: "Throughout January, honestly, my office and the Foreign Secretary’s office were under constant pressure. There was an atmosphere of constant chasing". Starmer was therefore wrong to say that "no pressure existed whatsoever". He must correct the record immediately.

If Starmer had a shred or decency, integrity or honesty he would resign. Instead he’ll dodge every question by saying “process, process, process” and somehow try to blame the Tories or Farage or both. PMQs live now parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/87…

No matter what one thinks of the bloke it is not entirely pleasant to see a weakening prime minister pecked to likely death by mobbing crows. All part of Mother Nature's brutal cycle, alas.
