@tshevcom I believe strongly that we can combine our values and economic interests but only in small doses and it’s easiest for wealthier people, of course. Still, NAFO fundraisers prove that ideology can intersect with economic choices.

@Levi_Borovychok My Canadian children know Ukrainian words but nothing ᵣussian. We don’t have Ukrainian heritage, just a love of the culture and determination to honour it. We have to individually do our best to create the world we want starting in our homes and working outward.

It hurts to see a Ukrainian kid 12 y.o who can’t speak or write Ukrainian. He was in russian school and his family is speaking russian. He is also autistic. Russia tries to destroy Ukrainian identity even in Poland/Germany/UK/US. Ukrainian-speaking media are losing to ru-media abroad, because those are used by many migrants from countries occupied by USSR. It hurts. It hurts so much. We do what we can.

@tshevcom … financial value to the location of production and associated benefits. Here in Canada we’ve been moving away from buying American even if the Canadian alternative is more money and we do that for political reasons. The same spirit should prevail for an EU flag on the label.
