@MassiveNigga @ThingBeak @ViktorVolk66982 @AncapPigARLZ do note that in this scenario you will have babies, toddlers, infants that accidentally walk underneath the crusher and parents who want to save their children as well as other adults who want to save their siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, etc

You are in a room with 99 other people, and an industrial people crushing machine Everyone must secretly choose whether or not to get under the crusher. If more than fifty people are under the crusher, it will malfunction and break, killing no one Do you get under the crusher?

Huh, wasn't expecting this post to get as much traction as it did. I think it's important to point out that regardless of blue always getting the majority in these polls, red can never "lose" regardless of how the vote goes. In my opinion however, what this poll really demonstrates is how democracy breeds authoritarianism via collectivist ideologies that leverage the altruistic tendencies of people by goading them into ignoring basic logic and reason in favor of emotion and the collective to "survive", which is ultimately used to justify the erosion and removal of individual rights and freedoms.

I don't wanna add other people's tweets but there was an image like this that basically visualized what I imagined, from what blue buttoners say they visualized a different scenario? I guess I also am unsure who the test takers are for 'everyone on earth', like.. newborns?

I voted red button but I think I misunderstood the explanation since everyone is saying blue keeps everyone alive

@DreadedStephy @ViktorVolk66982 @AncapPigARLZ The condition isn't red voters. It's blue voters. If there was a green and purple button, the crusher would crush regardless. If there was only a blue button and everyone had to press it, that would alter the crusher. Blue is the only button that matters to it.

A train is coming down a track. Everyone on Earth has the choice to either tie themselves to the track, or not. If more than 50% of people choose to tie themselves to the track, the train turns around and doesn't run them over. Yes or no - do you tie yourself to the track?

So I just saw this video from @Th3birdman15 and I'm genuinely curious how people can be this dumb. In the scenario, there's literally no downside to pushing red. If everyone presses red, everyone lives. The only reason to press blue is to feel morally superior, as some savior of the masses, and in doing so there's a 50/50 chance of killing a whole bunch of people. The blue button is the good intentions button and we all know where that road leads. youtube.com/watch?v=VvlfOp…
