Tower Hamlets approved the application to dismantle the gasholders last night by 7:1 votes. This means they will be removed, put in storage with frankly no guarantee that they will come back to decorate 2 blocks of luxury flats.

@LucindaDraws @TowerHamletsNow We hope councillors making the decision will see that the site would work so much better FOR ALL by leaving one gasholder empty. But they must refuse the application for this to happen. @MayorJohnBiggs

@EEWGroup @justspace7 @LewishamCouncil @Royal_Greenwich On the optimistic side, we did force them to entirely redesign a development in our conservation area. Admittedly it was only 13 properties but it was the largest site up for redevelopment with the CA. So there is always hope.
