Introducing…FIORI💕🐘 The name FIORI in Italian means flowers🌸 📌It was the nickname of an elderly Swiss lady who set up the trust that have given #EHRA and the #desert #elephants a lot of support nearly over the last 2 years. The name is just perfect 🥰🐘 📸Christin Winter

A new Ugab Baby☀️! BEST NEWS EVER😍🐘 🛑 We kindly ask all #travelers and game drive #guides in the Ugab to keep a respectful distance to mother and #calf. First time #elephant mothers can be stressed easily and in some cases abandoning their calves. Thank you for adhering💕🙏

@504_dr @MinistryofEnvi2 @AGA_artenschutz 2. Drones sound like a swarm of bees which stresses/ alarms elephants. 3 they are very expensive to get and maintain. Collaring elephants triggers short-term stress and quick recovery. Collars provide real time movement data, early warning signals & protection.

🐘🐘🐘 Massive thanks to the @MinistryofEnvi2 (MEFT) for providing their amazing veterinarian Dr Axel Hartmann who helped us successfully collar the elephants The collars were funded by @AGA_artenschutz to allow us to monitor desert elephants.

@504_dr @MinistryofEnvi2 @AGA_artenschutz Hi there, thank you so much for your concern for the elephants, which we share 100%. Using drones is not a viable alternative for multiple reasons: 1. Their battery life is extremely short, therefore making no sense in the type of environment we work in;

Super proud of my sister Rachel Harris on the news this evening - without volunteers her charity @EHRANamibia needs vital funds to support the local communities and elephants.
