@EarlyONWR I'm a Laurier education student wondering if you have any suggested activities for parents to do at home with early learners that require little to no materials? #EM203
Save the Children is a great website to check out to learn more about the importance of early learning and how they are working towards making early learning programs universally accessible

The 2021 report will be interesting as this only includes data up until March 31, 2020, not highlighting data from the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused many families financial stress and hardships #EM203research
@Em203Alisha child labour decreases to likelihood and chance for children to obtain education, restricting them from obtaining better employment #EM203problems
@EM203SRafael mental health is interrelated to binge-eating and can also contribute to other eating disorders such as purging and body dysmorphic #EM203problems
@BeccaDotzertWLU I too found constructivism interesting. I believe it should be used as often as possible but I can see how it can be hard to implement as every student needs to take responsibility for their own learning in order for it to be truly beneficial
So far in #EM203Robin we've talked a lot about different learning theories. I found constructivism to be really interesting because it places an individual at the centre of their learning, and argues that knowledge is constructed rather than acquired.
@EM203awong I too did not realize how prevalent constructivism was. I’ve been able to depict the use of this in many of my classes and now have a better appreciation for the use of some of these techniques
@EM203zbarbara I agree, it is very nice being able to work through each weeks content at my own pace. After doing week 4’s content, being able to learn at your own pace is one of the highlights about online learning and perhaps should be adopted into classroom learning
I have loved the first 3 sessions of EM203! We have taken such an in-depth look at different methods of learning and comparing their real-life applications to one another. My favourite part has been being able to do the assignments at our own pace! #EM203Robin
@EM203alon I also find it interesting how online learning can have a positive impact on students. I think due to the pandemic it is important to know how to apply these different theories covered in this class to ensure that we as students are getting the most out of our learning
@EM203MHayat I find it interesting to apply the different theories to how my profs each use them, and how it is bettering my online learning. Definitely opened my eyes to the effectiveness of certain teaching styles
First 3 weeks of EM203 complete! As we all know, digital learning has become critical during the COVID-19 pandemic. This class is showing methods and approaches best suited to continue encouraging deep learning while on an online platform #EM203Robin
