Part of the challenge in contributing to ERC/EIP is the time to build and run tests in GitHub Actions. Today I spent a night debugging the problem and was able to cut the @ethereum ERCs CI time from 10+ minutes to ~1 minute per PR.

📰 The original Week in Ethereum News, founded by @evan_van_ness and long edited by @abcoathup , has been a cornerstone for the Ethereum builder community for years.
Our goal is to carry that spirit forward — combining AI + human editorial review to make Ethereum’s weekly progress easier to follow for developers, researchers & the wider ecosystem, and hopefully decentralize the governance gradually.

A "good first issue" for a new contributor would be:
1. Easy, with zero or a small learning curve
2. Small, taking less than an hour or two to complete
3. Illustrative, helping contributors understand a part of how the system works
4. Impactful, creating a positive outcome such as delivering a useful feature or fixing a bug

Once you successfully started an opensource project, the next step is to find contributors. To help contributor get started, one would create a backlog of "good first issue". Here are some suggestions for such issues:
