Congratulations to EU Sr. Morgan Cooley! Morgan took home 2nd place in the Shot Put at the Drake Relays today with a throw of 59'11"! He'll be back in action at Drake on Saturday morning, in the Discus! Congrats and Good luck tomorrow Morgan!

Congratulations to EU Senior Morgan Cooley! He'll be competing at the Drake Relays on both Thursday 4/23 and Friday 4/24! He'll be competing in the Discus on Thursday at 2:30 pm and on Friday in the Shotput at 9 am! Congratulations Morgan!!!

Today we celebrated EU Senior, Tristin Lear as she signed her commitment to continue her academic and Softball career at SWCC! Congratulations Tristin!

East Union Fine Arts Department is excited to host Des Moines Metro Opera Iowa again this year. Wednesday, April 15th @ 7pm, Opera Iowa will perform Cinderella. This event is free to the public. This event is made possible by our Fine Arts Grant received this year.

School Reminder: Just a note that following last week's conference schedule, we are back to normal dismissal times for the rest of this week (including today and Thursday). There will be NO early dismissals this week. Reminder: There is no school this Friday.

School Update: Just a reminder that we HAVE school this Monday (March 9) but NO school next Friday (March 13). Also, don’t forget to set your clocks AHEAD one hour this Sunday for Daylight Savings!

Phenomenal day of District Speech for our community as we hosted IE this year!! Out of our 26 events, 18 events received Division 1 ratings and will advance to State Individual Events. State Individual Events will be Saturday, March 14th @ Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson School.

IHSSA All-State Festival! 💚🎭 Saturday, February 21st our East Union Speech Team traveled to Iowa State University for the All-State Festival.

Our East Union Speech team participated in the POI Individual Speech contest on Tuesday @ SWV. 🎭 We received 14- I ratings and 7- II ratings. 🎭 We had 3 students receive an Outstanding Performance Award. Khloe Parker in RN, Olivia Findley in ST, and Lexi Hansen in PO.

Today, we held another official collegiate signing for one of our Eagle student athletes, taking their talents to the next level! This one for Quynn Foster. She will continue her academic and wrestling career at Illinois Wesleyan University. 🦅

We are excited to announce Justin Jeffs as the next shared superintendent for East Union and Murray CSD! With 15 years of leadership experience, he is ready to lead our districts starting July 1. Read more here:

Our FFA members traveled to Lenox for subdistricts on Tuesday, February 17th. It was a great day, with several events moving on to Districts.

Congratulations to our East Union Academic Team! They traveled to Murray and competed on Wednesday, February 18th, and placed 3rd in the Academic Bowl. Academic members include: Khloe Parker, Braxdyn Tucker, Brock Driskill, Zayne Eslinger, Aiden Denton, and Cyler Wuebker.
