Today around one an incident happened. Nilikuwa hapo Daystar Uni, the one in Mbagathi Way, kuna roundabout, the one connecting to Ngong Road. This police officer ananisimamisha akiniambia that I used it wrong. He goes ahead kusema that nilipita vibaya though I was behind a car na nilikuwa natumia the same lane as them na hakuisimamishwa. Na I use the road almost every day so I know. He goes ahead na kuniambia I give him 10k or anipeleke station. So nilikataa akanipeleka coz am a student na pesa kama hiyo sina. He proceeded to force me. So ilibidi nipigie mzazi anitumie 5k nimpe. Then the guy is so corrupt ananipeleka Mpesa shop nitoe the money. Now my problem is the police charged me with reckless driving ndio naona juu fine ni 10k. These guys are so bad. Wanataftia makosa hakuna then they accuse you. I feel bad coz these police guys are asking too much money for small offences. It is bad.

If you start a pliers manufacturing company in Kenya, you would have to establish it behind closed doors, never advertise or engage the media. If you try banking millions, advertising, or even doing a single media interview; The KRA, KEBS, County government, NEMA, and many other government organizations will rush quickly to take your money and shut you down. Our entire economic system is designed to shoot to kill any manufacturer on sight. The entire country supports it. Killing entrepreneurs is big business for government players, but clearly a shot in the foot. We must deregulate business to allow startups especially in manufacturing to thrive. Otherwise, we will continue importing toothpicks and match boxes.
