Today in the Old Bailey I watched the grim farce of the US/UK attempt to extradite Julian #Assange. The bullying prosecutor is reduced to insulting the integrity of expert witnesses. Trapped behind glass, Julian is denied free access to his barrister. This is Britain's shame.

The extradition of Julian Assange is a malicious prosecution by any standard. Even critics of the man ought to condemn this as a show trial. The "crime" in question is the greatest public service @Wikileaks ever performed: exposing Iraq-era abuses.

Julian Assange's extradition hearing resumes today. He could be sent to the USA for his journalism including the exposing of US war crimes.
Along with Amnesty & the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, I oppose this extradition.
All supporters of a free press should oppose it too.
