Big Bend this Easter weekend. Such an incredibly special place. It’s always worth it.

It was the opportunity of a lifetime to attend the Artemis II launch with my wife Kim and daughter Lindsay yesterday, and to provide remarks at the Texas Space Commission reception on Tuesday evening. Texas has stepped up in a big way. The @TXSpaceComm was created so Texas can be the best it can be, not just for our own success, but in partnership with other states to keep America at the forefront of innovation, discovery, and opportunity. There’s always a little friendly competition among states, but at the end of the day, we are all working toward something bigger than ourselves: the advancement of humanity, guided by the enduring truth that the United States is a beacon of hope and freedom. Yesterday’s launch was a powerful reminder of that. It was a true honor to represent the Lone Star State in Florida and highlight the incredible work happening right here to lead the next generation of space exploration.

Today, Governor Abbott announced that TANEO has opened applications for the Texas Advanced Nuclear Development Fund. Both the Office and the Fund were created by landmark legislation (House Bill 14) passed last session.
