Pro salaries are released due to collective bargaining agreements, not because the public buys tickets, merch, etc. But if taxpayer money is used for NIL payments at public institutions, then transparency is necessary. Tough to do. As always, the winner is billable hours.

Theory: The public buys tickets and merch and partially funds college hockey player "payments" at non-profit institutions, and therefore has a right to know what these payments are. Like pros salaries are known....What say you?

This is an excellent column and hits at the larger story of last night — there are two dynastic programs right now in women's basketball. For many years, it was just one. Last night, one of them clearly rattled the other and ended a perfect season. And that lit the fuse.

Pittsburgh Public Schools will operate remotely from April 22–24 as the city prepares to host the 2026 NFL Draft. With road closures, heightened security, parking restrictions, and heavy traffic expected, the city believes remote learning is the best option during that time.
