This weather is not what I was expecting today! Hello from Bergen, Norway. One of the world’s rainiest places. 🤣🇳🇴 We had a fantastic sail in including passing under a bridge which was only a few metres above the ship. We then went up in the North Star (it’s a viewing pod on the top deck that’s free on port days but you have to be quick to book it in the app). 😎☀️ In Bergen we took the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen and walked back down. We booked our tickets online for around £7 ($9) each which is much cheaper than the cruise lines $59 excursion to do the same thing! 😉😂 I’m onboard with my family including my nieces and I’m happy to report they’re all loving the ship and Norway. Such a relief for me as I’ve been saying how great it is for YEARS. 🤣😇 Do you cruise with kids? I don’t normally but I’m enjoying it a lot on this trip. We’re having so much fun. 💃🕺 Ps, I’ve just noticed the lady behind the glass in this reflection photo. OOPS. 🤣🤣🤣

It’s been 7 years since my cruise YouTube journey began and last night I attended a fabulous event in London where I got to meet lots of other creators. 📹😁 When I started my channel in 2017 I had no plans at all. I just wanted to share videos I took on holiday. I started making a tips and tricks videos to help other people to enjoy cruising as much as I did but I didn’t ever think much beyond that. 😎⚓️ I was working in Data Development (coding all day in the insurance world) so I’d spend all my weekends and evenings on my ‘little cruise project’. I was addicted to it and still am! 😂🪩 The pandemic happened and the industry shut down completely for 18 months. I couldn’t keep creating the content I was used to, so I pivoted into making news content and more general interest. I learnt a LOT in this year and thats when I started doing live streams! Who remember those pandemic trivia streams?! 🖥️⌨️ It was in 2020 that I decided to put on my business hat on to see if I could ever make a proper go of my crazy idea. I did all the work to build a business while NOBODY was cruising and just hoped that the industry would bounce back. Spoiler: It did! Phew!! 😂💡 It seemed like the craziest dream and it was so so scary to leave a more traditional job but I’m very happy to say that I left my regular 9-5 job back in 2021 and I’ve run my business full time ever since. I’ve not regretted it for even 0.00003 seconds. 🥰😋 I’m so proud to be part of the cruise community and I can’t ever thank you enough for being interested in what I have to share. We’ve certainly been through some weird and wonderful things together eh?! Especially for charity… multiple head shaves, a walk so long my toenails fell off (grim) and CAPTAIN HUDSON!! 🤭🐈 I’m so excited for the future and that is all thanks to you. I can’t wait to see where the next 7 years takes us… maybe virtual reality cruise videos?? Holograms perhaps? 🤣🚀
