On Thursday 3/19/26, Platoon 2 responded to 562 calls, including 433 EMS calls, 89 fire calls, and 40 other calls. In total, there were 1,048 emergency vehicle responses and 234 patient transports. #DCsBravest

On March 18th, 1927, Captain James Mowatt, Engine Co. 2, died in the Line of Duty of a heart attack during a fire at 420 Oakwood St NW, Box 8213. He was acting 1st Battalion Chief. Never Forget.

We’re pushing forward with the purchase of new apparatus to strengthen our fleet. Our Apparatus Committee recently traveled to Pennsylvania for a pre‑engineering conference on six new aerial ladder trucks.

Fourteen members from Apparatus, Health & Safety, Training, and Operations — joined by @IAFF36 and Local 3721 — reviewed specs for the 100‑ft tillered ladders. These trucks are critical to improving service and supporting our mission.
