-melancholic air flowing around the small, two bedroom apartment. The border collie didn't even say anything, didn't have to, that plate of food, and the fork to eat with was just enough of an apology. He'd walk back out of the other's bedroom, and went back to the kitchen.

Silence, save for the sound of him reaching into the fridge for the carton of eggs, a pack of bacon, and a stick of butter. He was quiet as he began making what smelled to be breakfast.

"Fine, God damn dude." Spoke the border collie as he retreated to his bedroom down the hall. He wasn't shaken by Dave, but it was a surprise to see him acting this way. They both definitely needed a hot minute to cool off. Probably.

"You sure? You look like death warmed over in the summer sun." Actual concern for the German shepherd? More likely than he would think since it was just the two of them in the apartment. Ever since that one night, that impromptu hook up, Neil was showing a... Softer side to him.

The border collie has seen and dealt with much worse. At least Dave isn't put off of by his attitude nor his mannerisms. Probably explains why he's got Dave at his apartment so much anyway. "What's that look for?"

He knows he won't anytime soon but... ...there are ways he can make up for it in the meantime.
