Radar and radio tracking data from multiple countries confirmed Apollo 8 was in lunar orbit when the photo was taken.

It’s a remarkable coincidence that the Earth was exactly the same orientation to the moon with exactly the same cloud coverage when these two pictures were taken 68 years apart. Am I now a coincidence theorist ?

The original physical film still exists, multiple exposures from the same film roll show consistent lighting, grain, and motion, theres no evidence of editing or compositing technology capable of faking this then.
