There's a lot of downtime at the Charter Reform Meeting in CD8 today (many folks are running late) so a couple commissioners seem to be working out a possible motion ... related to vacancies?

I just wanted to personally thank Commissioner @cfuentesrun for the effort to introduce a motion to clarify the Charter Language at yesterday's Charter Reform Commission. Although it didn't pass, we still want to pass on our gratitude for the motion to empower young Angelenos.

In the final motion of the night, a motion to establish a Charter and Governance Reform Commission fails, 5-5 (Meza, Morrison, Murray, Sanchez, Stein opposed).

The Commission has also voted down including information about proportional ranked choice voting (PRCV) in the Appendix of the Commission's final report.
