I'm just gonna come out and say it. Top-level SM64 speedrunning died when the 5/5 was achieved. This bounty is putting it on life support. Once the bounty is claimed - and it will be - top-level SM64 speedrunning will return to dormancy.

So long as people are speedrunning, there will be those at the top level striving for perfection. Maybe there will be a period of time where no new records are set, but saying SM64 died is pretty disingenuous. Every time there is an "unbreakable" record, it is eventually broken.

today i got to do something i never thought id get a chance to, i got to do a run in a @GamesDoneQuick event!!!! during our run, we hit our donation goal in 6 minutes and GDQ hit a 60 million dollar milestone for total donations!! ty for cheering me on!! sarry coin to da moon 🧸
