Once again congressmen in the US will do things to prove their pro-Israel credentials that are so absurd that, in any other context, it would be considered beyond parody. But people will look you straight in the eye and assure you that it's because the American people cares so deeply about Israel that it's clamoring for this kind of shit and politicians are just responding to broad-based feelings on the topic as opposed to incentives created by a powerful lobby actively supported by a minority of a minority.
